No. 1 - Wild Month
Letters #1
Dear Reader,
Hello, it’s been a while.
I want to be more consistent with writing long-form posts/newsletters like this one. In my Letters series, I want a casual space to give you life updates as well as writing/book updates.
March has been a wild month.
There was a carbon monoxide leak in my apartment building. I was definitely breathing that in but luckily not enough to do any long-lasting damage. This is the second time within a three year period. My partner (and two cats) have moved out. We’re all safe! That was the craziest thing that happened this month.
It’s finally getting nicer out!
Fun fact about me, I love hiking. I want to do a lot more hiking this year (and camping). I get my allergies in spring. I hope they won’t be too bad this year.
Now onto writing updates.
I’m publishing tanka once a week online! I enjoy writing tanka poetry.
You may know that I wrote a verse novella (if you didn’t know, I wrote a verse novella!) and was set on publishing it at the beginning of the month. I had the book posted for download but I decided to take it down. I am going to go in the direction of publishing a wide ebook as well as the usual paperback. The verse novella (In Lonely Corners) will be published sometime after April.
I’m still working on my usual poetry collection as well as editing a short story collection. More updates to come!
That may be it for now. Thank you for reading! I will try to write these letters once a month!
Until next time,
Andi Leigh
